Watch out – there are wild animals about!

March 3, 2015Jo Hussain

Exeter University students came to Class 1, volunteering their time to support us with our art work. It was all hands on deck making huge safari animals, paper plate jungle angle faces, textured leaves for our display and animal paintings.  We are very grateful for their free time and also very proud of our work!

As part of our topic, Magic and Mystery, we read the story of Professor Puffendorf’s Secret Potions. We decided to make our own potions, like the professor. We used milk, honey, oats, oil, washing up liquid, food colouring and salt to name but a few ingredients to make up our fantastic potions.  Some of our potions…

The Last Post…

July 21, 2014Jan Brown

As the school year draws to its close we return your child to you, the same child you entrusted to us last autumn; a few inches taller, and months wiser, more responsible and more mature than back then.  Even though they would have grown without our help it has been a pleasure and privilege to…

July 21, 2014Jan Brown

To celebrate the end of our learning on Pirates and Mermaids we had a ‘dress up’ day and class 1 was awash with beautiful mermaids and swashbuckling pirates!  Even the cooks in the galley entered into the spirit of our day by wearing pirate costumes and serving up pirate food; fish bites and chips (but…
