Classes 1 and 2 had their Kenton counterparts visit so that they could perform their own versions of Cinderella or Little Red Riding Hood to each other.
The 4 classes took turns to perform what they’d been working on. Class 2 children had re-written their own play-script and version of Cinderella and acted this out for their audience. Class 1 retold the story of Cinderella, remembering the key events and sequence of the story. Cherry Class from Kenton performed their story using a range of puppets and scenery that they’d made. Willow Class from Kenton ‘stepped’ their story – this outlined the main sequence of events as they happened.
We then shared lunch and played together. We all had a great time looking at how stories can be told and re-told in different ways and gained experience and confidence in performing to an audience.
