We have been learning about our sense of sight. Mr Hindle from The West of England School and College for Children with Little or No Sight came to talk to the Foundation Stage and Year 1 children. He helped us begin to understand what it is like to be in the world with little or no sight. We wore special glasses that blurred our vision and tried to do different things whilst not being able to see very well at all!
He showed us lots of different gadgets that make noises and are useful if you can’t see such as a gadget that helps you know when to stop filling a cup. He showed us special games that especially need your sense of touch and hearing and we also got to use a braille machine.
Thank you Mr Hindle!
