Today, Class 4 were learning about air resistance. They were split into groups and each group had to make a parachute. Group 1’s parachute diameter was 20cm, group 2 was 30cm, group 3 was 40cm, group 4 was 50cm and group 5’s was 60cm. They then had 4 strings of 40 cm long to attach to the parachute….
Today in Class 4’s science lesson we were learning about gravity. We read some information about Sir Isaac Newton, Ibn al-Haytham and Galileo Galilei. The children were then asked to weigh the mass of certain objects in the classroom (using kitchen scales) and then to measure the force of gravity pulling the objects to earth (in Newtons)….
Class 4 spent an amazing afternoon celebrating their Christmas party. They enjoyed completing a Christmas quiz before joining in with a range of party games including musical statues, musical bumps, Christmas charades as well as wrap the snowman in toilet paper!
