Dear Parents
We hope you are all well and have had a lovely Easter break – welcome back.
Please see the curriculum map (which was emailed with this letter) about what Class 4 will be learning this term.
Homework – The children will come home with the half term’s homework in their homework book. There will be spellings and tables (which will be tested on a Tuesday at school) as well as an optional quest. Please could your child bring their homework book back to school on a Tuesday when there will be opportunity to share their homework with an adult at school. We will then send the books home again on Wednesday night.
Reading – please continue to hear your child read. It makes such a difference to their reading in all curriculum areas if they are heard at home regularly. The children have reading log books and when your child has collected five signatures, they will receive a golden ticket which will be entered into a weekly draw where two pupils will have the chance to win 15 minutes of golden time.
PE (This half term, please come to school in PE kit on Thursdays & Fridays).
Water bottles – please make sure your child has a full, named water bottle in school which we will send home on a Friday for cleaning.
As the weather is changeable, please ensure your child has a waterproof coat, sun cream and a sun hat with them every day.
Thank you for your ongoing support,
Mrs Tyrrell and Mrs Slater
