Class 4 enjoyed an informative session about fire safety at home with James from the Devon and Somerset Fire Rescue Service. We learnt how everyday household items can potentially cause a fire risk if they are not switched off or stored safely. We also discussed how to keep our homes safe by ensuring that we have smoke alarms fitted on every floor of our homes and making sure we test these at least once a month. We saw how quickly fires can spread and we know how to call 999 if there is an emergency. We will also be creating an emergency escape plan with our adults at home.
