Our most recent four legged visitor was Betty’s dog, Dougie. He is just a puppy and was beautifully soft and fluffy and coped very well with so many children. Betty told us all about how she looks after him—thank you Betty and Mum for sharing Dougie with us!
Year 3 and 4 children have finished their summer term sessions at Forest School. They’ve had great fun making a treehouse platform (to be continued in autumn term!), hanging a swinging seat and using saws, mallets, drills, clay and rope for a number of creative endeavours. Reception and Year 1 children have three weeks of…

They had to explore the gardens, using whatever they could find lying on the ground, to create a 3D piece of work….
A big thank you to Jessica and her mum and sister who told us all about their beautiful dog, Yogi. He was very gentle and patient with the children. Heidi and her mum showed us their cute American guinea pig, Buttercup. Thank you. We really enjoy pet Monday!

The animals keep a coming to Classes 1 and 2 and we love it! Our most recent visitors have been Fin’s chickens, Tristan’s pony, Jack and Jess’s hamster, Rosie’s guinea pigs and Jack and Lily’s rabbit. We are always very excited to see different pets and learn all about them.
Classes 1 and 2 were joined by their peers from Kenton Primary for an inter-school morning of multi-sports activities. The weather stayed dry and spirits were high with children working in teams to tackle each event in the carousel.
This week was British Poetry Week so we’ve all been listening to and reading lots of different poems, finding ones we like and sharing them with each other. To end the week with a bang we had a poetry slam, where children performed their chosen poems with gusto and some actions too. The poetry slam…
Classes 1 and 2 visited Bickham Farm as part of their learning about food and where it comes from. Rod Hall kindly showed us all around his farm and told us about his horses, cows and calves and his chickens and bees.
