This week was British Poetry Week so we’ve all been listening to and reading lots of different poems, finding ones we like and sharing them with each other.
To end the week with a bang we had a poetry slam, where children performed their chosen poems with gusto and some actions too. The poetry slam included nursery rhymes and poems with strong rhythms and amazing poems that children had written themselves, especially for the slam.
We were all mightily impressed by the performances and children from across the school enjoyed seeing each other in action.
