Year 5 children are busy with their bikeability sessions which are continuing throughout the week. Pupils began with level 1 on the school playground where they learnt how to maintain their bicycle, how to glide, how to control a bike, how to pedal effectively as well as the importance of being aware of their surroundings….
Class 3 are loving our Discovering Dartmoor topic. We have been using alliteration and rhetorical questions to write a persuasive leaflet to encourage people to come and visit. So far we’ve written about Tremendous Tors, Raging Rivers and Panoramic Picturesque Landscapes. Well done to the children who have made wonderful models of Dartmoor for their home…

KS2 competed in a gym competition at Dawlish Leisure Centre. Well done to all the children for taking part… and an extra special well done to those who qualified to compete at the next round!
Class 2 enjoyed our time at Haldon. We completed the Gruffalo trail and finished back at school with a picnic on the carpet.
For Science week, Class Three have been fizzing and popping to answer the enquiry, “Do gases have mass?”. We measured the weight of some fizzy drinks, (making sure we kept lots of variables the same, such as: same bottle, same drink). Then we shook the bottles as hard as we could to remove the gas. …
