Class 2 are finding out what plants need to grow. As part of this the children in Class 2 have planted lettuce seeds in containers. They will water them and measure their growth over a period of time. We are also growing seeds in the classroom to find out what growing conditions are the best…
On Friday Class 2 were really excited to learn another Shakespeare Play. Before the session began Phoebe (Yr1) told us that she really loves Shakespeare, this was the fourth one that the Year 1’s have done, and the 2nd that the Year 2’s have done. Class 2 have worked hard as a team to build up a class Undersea painting- To create the effective ocean colour washes for the background for our display they developed an understanding of how to create shades of a colour. The children then decided which sea creatures they wanted in their Under the Sea world….
Class 2 were completely absorbed last Friday when Mr Jinks came in to tell us the story of Romeo and Juliet. Everyone had a part, acting out all the key scenes, displaying some fantastic dramatic ability. We all learned alot about the play and hope to engage with other Shakespeare plays in the future.
