We’re very excited to be welcoming Olympic athlete, Dan James to the school on Wednesday 8th March.
Dan has competed for England and GB for over 8 years and has made over 75 appearances for the team including the London 2012 Paralympics. He plays in the special position of goalkeeper, which within blind football is filled by an able bodied athlete as he who calls out directions to the players.
Dan will be leading a sponsored fitness circuit with all pupils and will follow-up with a talk and question and answer session. The aim of the event is to inspire the pupils to take up sport generally, but just as importantly to encourage them to discover and then pursue their passion in life.
You can sponsor your child online using the link below. Each child who gets sponsored will receive a prize, prizes become more desirable the more sponsorship a child gets. The school will also benefit from being able to buy new sports equipment as well.
