Class 4 enjoyed an interactive session with Sophie from South West Water where they learnt about how our tap water is treated and cleaned to make it safe and sanitary to drink. The children also discovered ways that they can help to conserve water and wrote their own pledges for small changes that they can make in their own lives including taking shorter showers and turning the water off when they brush their teeth. The class were amazed to learn that 2,500 litres of water is required to produce the cotton for 1 t-shirt and that each person uses approximately 150 litres of water a day!!
