The Internet is an essential element in 21st-century life for education, business and social interaction. Our school has a duty to provide pupils with quality Internet access as part of their learning experience.

The Internet use is a part of the statutory curriculum and a necessary tool for staff and pupils.

Below are some links that children, parents and teachers will find helpful in learning how to use the Internet safely.

• Children and young people can visit CBBC. Test your internet safety knowledge with Hacker, listen to some Stay Safe songs with Helen Skelton, News Kids On the Block and Bobby Lockwood and get some tips from the Horrible Histories gang.
• Childnet – a non-profit organisation working with others to help make the internet a great and safe place for children.
• The National Crime Agency is your Police advice, help and report centre. It can advise you as a parent or as a child or young person. They help children stay safe online. For example has someone acted inappropriately towards you online, or to a child or young person you know? It may be sexual chat, being asked to do something that makes you feel uncomfortable or someone being insistent on meeting up.
