The sun shone brightly all day for our trip to West Town Farm.
It was a brilliant day full of fun activities and learning, in a beautiful setting. Children learnt about plants that grow wild that can be eaten, and plants that were sown and grown on the farm. Children picked wild garlic flowers and leaves and also nettles which they later chopped, along with potatoes and onion, and made into soup, which was later eaten around the campfire.
The children also learnt about farm animals and the wild animals too. They donned badger face paint and found badger setts on their search around the farmland. It was truly a gorgeous day.
We thank our fabulous children for being so well behaved and the parents who gave up their time to come with us. Thank you Amanda, Chris, Linda, Moira and Jenny.
