Class 3 have been exploring the work of a number of artists this term, starting off looking at Constable, Stubbs, Turner and Gainsborough through their work in English. Then through homework and time spent researching artists of their choice in ICT lessons we extended our range of artists whose work we love.
After our trip to RAMM we decided to work in small groups to produce some amazing collages using photos of Dartmoor.
We combined the inspiration we got from the paintings we saw at RAMM with our research into our favourite artists, in particular Van Gogh and his skies, Matisse and his collages, Turner and his atmospheric images and Constable’s compositions, atmosphere and little flashes of red he used in peoples clothes.
