Class 2 become immersed in new texts using many different strategies.
We walk through the story using actions.
We hot seat the characters imagining ourselves as a character, asking each other questions to develop a greater understanding of how they feel or why they do the things they do.
We role play key scenes, imagine ourselves as a character and how they would feel.
Finally we share our plans with a talking partner, plan and write our own texts.
As well as extending our understanding of the text through geography, history, art or science.
