Class 1 have been learning about Autumn in the Woods.
They were really inspired by the story; Ferdie and the Falling Leaves by Julia Rawlinson and Tiphanie Beeke.
The illustrations by Tiphanie Beeke were particularly inspiring and we set about creating our own trees in a similar style.
First we used chalk pastels to create a background and then painted a tree with its bare branches.
Next we selected to use different types of brushes or our fingers dipped in autumn colours to create the effect of autumn leaves.
I’m sure you will agree that the children’s art work looks so effective!
