As part of our Minibeast topic, class 1 were lucky enough to have a real Minibeast en- counter of their own. The lovely Marie at Animals 2U South West brought in a true me- nagerie of creepy crawlies and the children absolutely loved learning all about them and even getting to touch and hold some of them. We have to say how proud we are of eve- ryone who was that little bit nervous about the day but yet still managed to muster up the courage to stroke or hold every one. Mrs Skinny legs—the Mexican orange-kneed taran- tula—left far more popular than she arrived, even with the grown ups.
