Children in Reception were joined by Year 5 pupils for a fun and engaging activity based on the story The Naughty Bus, featuring its mischievous main character.
After sharing the story together, the children worked collaboratively to design and make their own buses before taking them on a “naughty journey”.
Reception children developed their vocabulary, imagination, and early storytelling skills, as well as their confidence in speaking and sharing ideas. They also practised fine motor skills through designing and creating their buses.
Year 5 pupils demonstrated excellent leadership and teamwork, supporting the younger children while developing their own communication skills. They adapted their language carefully, explained ideas clearly, and helped guide the activity, showing patience and responsibility throughout.
It was a fantastic opportunity for pupils across the school to learn together in a creative and supportive environment.
