As part of their study of the Romans in Britain, Kenn’s Class 3 and Oak Class from Kenton had an amazing trip to the Roman Baths in Bath.
Despite a very early start, the children were very excited to have the opportunity to visit such an incredible place. The ruins are very well preserved, giving us a real sense of what life was like all that time ago.
To add to the experience, as we walked around the complex, we were all able to use audio guides which allowed us to listen to as much or as little information as we liked.
We also had a teaching session, where we were able to dress up as Romans, create mosaics and have the opportunity to handle 2000 year old artefacts.
It was a wonderful day, we all learnt a lot and developed a greater understanding of this aspect of Roman life.
