Class 3 had a wonderful day last Friday when they joined the Year 3 and 4 children at Kenton School on a trip to Powderham Castle.
We explored the beautiful house and particularly loved finding the hidden doors in many of the rooms. We learnt a lot about the different periods in which the house was built and changed from the medieval times through the tudor times to the Victorian period.
Having seen the Courtenay family crest and a poster showing all of the Tudor family crests, in the afternoon we designed our own family crest, thinking about what we think represents our own family.
