After spending the last few weeks finding out about the Mayans, rainforests and plants, there was only one place we could visit – The Eden Project.
The children had to complete a Chocology workshop. This involved finishing out about the history of chocolate before entering the rainforest biome to hunt for hidden treasure chests that told the story the children had just heard. At each stop, the children collected some treasure.
After lunch, we were free to explore. We returned to the rainforest. It was really hot and humid and we were grateful to get to the cloud bridge and waterfall to cool off.
The Mediterranean biome was much cooler. We saw lots of familiar things like lemon and orange trees, herbs and flowers.
After buying most of the gift shop, we returned home on the coach after a brilliant day out.
