Dear Parents
I hope you are all well and have had a lovely Summer break – welcome back.
Please see the curriculum map which shows what Class 4 will be learning this term.
Homework – The children will come home with the half term’s homework in their homework book. There will be spellings as well as an optional quest linked to this term’s topic. Please could your child bring their homework book back to school on a Wednesday when there will be opportunity to share their homework. We will then send the books home again on Thursday night. In addition, each week’s spellings are on spelling shed and there are maths tasks linked to the term’s objectives on MyMaths. (Please see your child’s reading record for login details.) If your child is not yet up to speed with their times tables recall, they will also receive additional multiplication practice.
Year 6s – we will start to send home SATs practice books in the next few weeks with instructions.
Reading – please continue to hear your child read. It makes such a difference to their reading in all curriculum areas if they are heard at home regularly. The children have reading log books and a personalised target which they should aim to reach by the end of each half term.
PE (This half term, please come to school in PE kit on Tuesdays & Thursdays).
Water bottles – please make sure your child has a full, named water bottle in school which we will send home on a Friday for cleaning.
As the weather is changeable, please ensure your child has a warm, waterproof coat with them every day
Thank you for your ongoing support,
Mrs Fidler

Alongside all the adventure, the children developed their independence and teamwork...
